For Sale:
1997 VW T4 TDI DoKa. 2.5L ACV code. 5 speed O2G manual trans. Stock German truck imported by me 5-6 years ago. Very utilitarian with minimal options: PS and PB. aftermarket CD radio. Rubber flooring throughout.
It currently is my daily driver and is Uber reliable. We have a hobby farm and this truck is very handy.
Recent upkeep/maintenance:
-~2 years ago: full Sachs clutch kit and slave cylinder. Imported directly from Europe.
-~3 years ago: fuel injection pump rebuild.
- 18 months ago: full Eberspacher exhaust system. Front to rear. Full Continental timing belt kit and full H2O service.
- <12 months: full body restoration. Glass out. Doors off. Box off. All body rust was sandblasted and proper Euro imported body panels installed. I changed the box and while i had the box off I "beefed" up the metal cross bracing, boxed in the corners and added 2 struts. 3/4" marine plywood flooring. Box was painted top/bottom. I did not restore the truck to show level, that was never my intent. I eradicated the rust and gave it another lease on life. It shows well and gets regular compliments.
- <12 months: full brake job: rotors, pads, calipers, hand brake cables, fluid flush, etc; 4 Bilstein shocks; lower ball joints both sides; inner/outer tie rods and boots; 4 wheel alignment.
- < 6 months. AXG 151hp injector set of 5 brand new. ECU tune. ~140hp now versus 102hp stock. It scoots along nicely.
- <6 months: added 17" mercedes steelies with Hankook proper loaded rated tires. Proper overall diameter.
Other notable features: brand new Hella complete tail light assemblies- both sides. Updated both front seats to 2003 T4 units with heated seats (not currently connected). Tinted glass. Replaced windshield. ~400TKM/240K miles. Starts, runs and drives great.
$14500 USD pretty firm.
