1969 VW Bug Light Blue   Price: $1800
$1800 101,879

Thank you for your interest. All original, black and yellow plate, dry California Bug with an Automatic Stickshift Transaxle. Starts with a touch of the key and runs strong. The odometer reads 1,879 miles. I am certain it has only turned over once. As evidenced in the pictures, the Floor Pan is 100% solid. It has some nice surface rust patina, but no rust through anywhere on the car. It has the factory installed Engine with an H Engine Case. The Cylinders Heads have been reworked. The Clutch grabs solid and the Transaxle shifts smoothly. It has the original factory bumpers and light blue matching fender beads. I purchased this car from its original owner in the early 1990s. I have stored it in a dry inland California climate for over 25 years. I am a Volkswagen mechanic. When I originally purchased the car I performed a thorough inspection of all mechanical systems including brakes, suspension, steering, engine, transaxle, and electrical systems. At that time, I performed all repair and maintenance needed including, but not limited to Automatic Stickshift Vacuum Hoses, Automatic Stickshift Vacuum Servo, Brake Hydraulics, Major Service, exchange Transaxle Gear and Torque Converter Oils, replaced the Carburetor, Steering Tie Rod Ends, Front Suspension Ball Joints, washed and removed Engine, replaced Oil Seals, Engine Compartment Seal, etc. All four Brake Drums measure out within tolerances. The Fuel Supply Hoses underneath the Fuel Tank, adjacent to the Transaxle and in the Engine Compartment and the Battery were recently replaced. To be road worthy, it should get four new tires and the right rear that is a Michelin in very good shape would do well as a spare. It has the original Ignition Coil and Ignition Distributor, and all Engine Cooling Tin is intact. It has been driven periodically throughout the years in storage. The only mechanical fault Im aware of at present is with the factory Muffler that has the VW logo stamped into it and a few small holes. One could either weld the holes or replace the Muffler with a new one. Also, if you are interested in converting it to a Four Speed Manual Transaxle, I have all the parts needed and you can purchase them from me at additional expense. The car has is presently in Ojai, California, has a clean California title and is in non operational status with the California DMV.
Please value my time and yours by being well prepared, clear, and concise when contacting me. This goes a long way with me.
Again, thank you for your interest. Calls and or emails are good.
