1974 VW Thing 181, barn find, 86k original miles, original paint, solid pan, original interior no rips or tears, brand new tires with zero miles, rebuilt original generator, strong original 1600cc dual port engine with no leaks, rare factory hard top, mechanically sound, everything works, window plastic is clear and unblemished. It's been parked in a garage for the last 20 years and not driven. I recently purchased it and went through everything and put a bunch of elbow grease into it. Considering it was driven often at one time it was well taken care of and stored properly. The interior picture shows an unadjusted parking brake however it has been fixed and the rear brakes are adjusted with quite a bit of adjustment still left. I haven't tried to use the gas heater in the trunk, but it is complete and I'm sure with a bit of TLC could be operational again. The only issue I'm aware of is the high beam switch is stuck in the "on" position, it's on my to do list but ranks pretty low considering I always drive with the high beams on at night without notice from other drivers. Incuded with purchase are 4 NOS brake cylinders as well as 4 original VW hub caps that are more of a flatter version than the moons that are pictured.
