1959 Ragtop Bug - Nice driver Price: $8500

Selling my 1959 Ragtop Bug. Previous owner grafted an original oval window clip. It is an original Ragtop bug... just the rear window clip was changed. I’ve had this car for several years now and it’s time to let it go to fund progress on another of my VW projects. This bug just had a bunch of work done to it.... no it’s not a show car but is a great start to a solid driver. Here is a list of some of the recent work..
All new brakes, shoes, wheel cylinders, soft lines, master, pedals, drums turned
4” narrowed adjustable beam
5 brand new chrome wide 5 Fuchs with new tires and mounting hardware
Trans and engine fluids just changed
Trans mounts replaced and new axle boots installed
40 hp Engine just had carb cleaned out and all new fuel lines installed
New fuel pump
Here are a few more bullet points
Pan is solid without rust
Front end has seen a bump sometime in its life
Spare tire well is prob the roughest part of the car
Most all the electrical and lights work
Clean early gas tank with new fuel lines and filter
The green paint is a good 20 foot looker. Different shades of metallic green can be found at closer look.
Seat covers are very decent
Dash cut for modern radio
Overall this is a very cool custom bug and great for a driver project. All the above work was just done and I’ve only put a couple miles on it in the last few days to shake it down.
Washington State title in hand and is registered to the Vintage plate on decklid. If buyer is in Washington the plate will stay with and buyer won’t ever have to buy tabs. If car is sold out of state I’m keeping the vintage WA plate to use on other Projects.
