May 1958 factory walkthrough panel w/ original to the vehicle pressed bumpers and reproduction Safari windshields and wiper arm swivel shafts. 2007 CC engine(78.4 X90.5), forged crank and rods, steel backed bearings, AA “stroker” pistons, heads w/40 x 35.5 valves and dual springs and hardened keepers with 1.25 ratio rocker and heads CCed to achieve 8:1 compression ratio with dual 40 Empi HPMX Weber style carbs w/ deluxe billet aluminum air cleaners, doghouse shroud and doghouse oil cooler, external oil cooler w/ thermostatically controlled electric fan, full-flowed, with an external oil filter, alternator, billet electronic ignition distributor and a Vintage Speed exhaust system w/ SS muffler. Front end: 4” narrowed adjustable beam with drop spindles built with WagonsWest parts. Rear suspension converted to IRS with adjustable spring plates again using WagonsWest parts. Brakes: 4 wheel Porsche 944 disc brakes w/ 944 master cylinder and properly functioning emergency/parking brakes. All new brake hard line and SS braided soft lines. Wheels are Porsche 17”X 6.5” off a 2007 Cayman (as I recall) with a Porsche steel wheel spare with 135R15 tire. Transmission was re-built and custom geared to achieve 3000 RPM at 70 MPH (for optimal engine cooling at highway speed). Interior: proper early wide front bucket seats with vinyl upholstery in great condition rear seating is a bay-window middle seat in original upholstery in decent condition front seats are equipped with retractable 3-point (Lap/shoulder) seat belts and rear seat is equipped with two lap belts. I also installed a complete new wiring harness. The dash is equipped with the proper “clear needle” speedometer and a set ofAutoMeter backlit Ultra-Lite II gauges (tachometer, oil pressure and oil temperature). Sound system is a simple am/fm/CD/USB deck with 6x9 speakers in the rear and 5 inch speakers. I drive the van regulary without issue and to any destination with confidence. I built the van for my personal enjoyment not to make a quick buck, therefore I didn’t cut corner during the build process. I’ve enjoyed it for a while and it’s time to let it go. I’m not interested in trades!!! The price is slightly negotiable! I’m not in any hurry to sell. Please feel free to contact me to make an appointment to see the vehicle or ask questions and make a reasonable offer.
