1972 Karmann Ghia - Runs/drives strong Price: 7300
Purchased as a project car for my son, but he realized he will not have time to complete before leaving for college and now he wants to sell to purchase a daily driver.
Car is a blast to drive. Runs strong. Has original engine. All mechanical repairs needed have been completed (and done by Puckett Brothers Classic VW Repair & Restoration with the exception of the Carburetor which we did) - we have listed that out to the best of our ability below, but you are welcome to speak directly to them about the work performed.
My son or I have driven the car regularly around town and on highway. Horn currently does not work, but I believe this is simply the connection and new steering wheel/horn assembly would fix that. (That was next on our list:) ). Car does have a a nice aftermarket stereo and speakers that were added by previous owner.
Body and paint look good. There is a 'crinkle' / dent (see pics) to back left panel/bumper that will need some body work, other than that body is clean/straight. We were going to do that when we stripped to repaint (although paint currently looks good, it does have a couple of areas where it has cracked a bit. Son wanted to take it back to it's original color), but never got to that part of the project.
Interior is decent but will need full restoration, as it is currently all original.
No cracked or broken windows - all intact. Tires basically new.
We have a video of it running/driving here: https://youtu.be/8XHwmT28_Fo
