1960 Indian Red Ragtop Bug Sunroof   Price: 27500
I’m selling my Indian Red, 1960 sunroof bug, which received a body off restoration. It started off as a very straight/clean car, and is truly a great looking and driving vehicle.

There are too many details to list, and a selection of highlights is detailed below:

• Chassis sandblasted and painted with PPG acrylic enamel
• Many powder coated components (e.g., axle beam, spring plate, backing plates)
• Body painted original L451 Indian Red (slightly darker than coral red) inside and out (PPG base/clear)
• Original 36hp engine rebuilt with many NOS parts (e.g., exhaust)
• Rebuilt full synchronized Rancho transmission with modified bus nosecone to enable stock 1960 only mount (4.37:1 R & P)
• 1963 pop out side windows
• Stayfast canvas sunroof
• Original working Dahne fuel gauge
• Working trip-meter speedometer (clear needle)
• Genuine VW working fuel tap extension
• Original paint 1960 steering wheel with NOS horn ring
• NOS 6-wire turn signal
• Restored 36 hp distributor with NOS cap, rotor, point, condenser
• Wolfsburg West bumpers
• NOS decklid T handle
• German square weave carpet
• German powder coated running boards
• 12 volt electrical system with Porsche 912 12V generator, and 12V wiper armature.
• Gene Berg 12V to 6V flywheel “adaptor” INI reduction starter
• All 5 wheels powder coated black, and painted 2-tone with Glasurit single stage, Coker bias-ply whitewalls, German hubcaps
• Wolfsburg west wiring harness
• Genuine VW wood slat rack (not pictured)
• Vintage "H" Pattern shift knob
• 3-point seat belts in front, lap belt in back

I also have a folder full of old service records from the bug including the original window sticker and sales receipt from the purchase. This car has always been garage kept, and is rarely driven. I’ll try and post a video of the bug driving asap.

Please don’t hesitate to email me with questions, or if you would like addition pictures. I'm definitely open to offers.
