1987 Vanagon Westfalia camper, All Original in PA   Price: $22000
This garage-kept 1987 VW Vanagon Wesfalia camper has been in the family since it was purchased new. Now it is time for someone else to make it a part of their family. The camper lived most of its life in a northern CA garage until it moved here to my southwestern PA one. The Vanagon is white with a light grey interior, with 111k well-earned original miles of adventure on it. It comes with all original equipment along with a propane tank (to replace the current one if desired), a side awning, a bra, protective carpet over the floor, and more.
The good:
All the window shades and optional netting are in great condition, as is the canvas top and the awning. No rips, tears, or wear-through. The interior is nearly flawless, including the tables, and the stove/sink/fridge work. There are no water leaks anywhere that I have found. Front seats have covers on them to protect from wear. There were no issues with the clutch. All original paperwork that came with the vehicle is included.
The bad:
It has the typical paint wear for a 30+ year old vehicle that was driven on family adventures for many years. There is a dent in the back bumper and the left rear quarter panel, behind the wheel, but otherwise everything outside but the paint is in almost perfect shape. The original A/C has not worked in years. Driver's side power window control button came loose in the door. I replaced the skylight with an OEM part because like a dummy I cracked it backing out of my garage. The power steering belt broke, and I never put the replacement I purchased on. The glove box falls open.
The vehicle ran with few problems when I parked it in my garage a few years ago. It has been sitting there ever since, but not being started for that long it will definitely need a once-over and I cannot guarantee the 2 batteries it comes with will hold a charge.
This vehicle has been on countless adventures on the West coast with my in-laws and then drove across the country to live here. We have taken it all over WV, PA, and NY, so it has definitely seen its share of memories. I have many more higher-res pictures than listed here available on request. If interested in it you can text for more information. Please no trade offers, as we already have a replacement camper.
I hope someone here has as many wonderful adventures in this vehicle as my wife's family and mine did.
