Running driving 1993 Eurovan GL for parts or fix. Price: 500
PRICE IS FIRM. Power steering rack is leaking and will not be repaired. Was too severe to drive far without running out of fluid, but is now manageable.
Van is parts or fix.*
Rough around the edges but running and driving Eurovan for sale. Primarily used to haul large items such as engines, transmissions, snow blower etc.
Timing belt done at 105k.
Head gasket done at 122k including decking head.
Coolant flanges and thermostat housing replaced.
Oil cooler gasket replaced.
Exhaust redone from just before converter back. Pipe going into converter separated and could not be rewelded. Welded in new catalytic converter.
Heater core replaced and heater box control doors recovered.
Both rear springs replaced.
Spark plugs replaced.
Fuel pressure regulator replaced.
Replaced rear engine/transmission mount.
Comes with snows in picture.
Cruise control and power windows work.
Have lots of spare parts that can go with the van including a z-bed (no hardware).
The bad, some items may get repaired before sale depending on time:
Has brake pulsation from rear brakes
Sometimes runs rough when cold.
A/C was removed by previous owner.
LF outer CV boot split open, no issues with joint.
Rear wiper and defroster do not work.
Missing back seat.
Transmission shifts somewhat harsh even with full and clean fluid. Never had an actual issue though unless fluid was low when there was a leak.
Frame that holds heater controls is broken (common issue), controls stay in place but will easily pull out.
May need a battery.
I'm sure I'm forgetting things, will edit as necessary. This van looks rough, has quirks, but has almost always done everything I have thrown at it with the exception of when the head gasket went. Since then, it has run better than it ever has as long as I have owned it. I wouldn't recommend this as a long haul daily driver. I daily drove it 10 miles round trip for 6 months after I first bought it and have driven it quite a few times the 100 miles round trip to my current job. If you have a VW problem like I do and need something to haul all the crap around for your other cars, this is your van. I just have too many cars to keep this for what I use it for. The van is currently at my work in Waterloo NY.
