1995 Full Camper Eurovan Price: 35,000
|
We have made the hard decision to sell our 1995 Eurovan Winnebago Camper Van. She is in great condition; there is not a single thing needed or any issues mechanically or cosmetically. We have owned her since 2011, and since my time with the van, I have been meticulous about maintenance and service. All systems work flawlessly: Propane heater with thermostat, sink and water systems, propane/electric fridge, 2 burner propane stove, fresh water and grey water tanks, and lights. AC blows cold and the heater works great, and all systems have been checked out professionally. She has 155K miles now, and is really just getting warmed up. In 2013, the transmission was rebuilt, and it only has 30K on it.
1995 may be the best Eurovan camper ever built in terms of longevity, reliability, and cost of maintenance. It is the only year that the Eurovan Camper came with the bullet-proof Audi designed 5 cylinder engine with the timing belt. This van will cruise easily at 80 MPH down the highway and has power to motor up the sides of mountains.
I purchased the van with 111K miles, and since then, she has been worked on by one of the best VW mechanics in Portland, and I have fixed or repaired any and everything my mechanics have suggested. I have owned many VW's in my day, including 2 1967 Split Window buses and a 1970 VW Camper Van. When my wife and I had kids, I wanted to get a VW that was more reliable and had nicer amenities. Reliability has always been my primary focus with this Eurovan, and no expenses have been spared to keep her rolling confidently down the road on any adventures.
When I first purchased her, I read that the stock 1995 camper vans had low clearance and were slightly lopsided, due to the Volkswagen's choice of 15 inch wheels and not accommodating for the heavy RV equipment on the left side. I invested in the GoWesty Eurovan Full Camper Lift Kit ($2,300) which immediately made the ride much smoother and gave the van much needed clearance. If you are looking at 1995 to 2000 year vans and they haven't been lifted, you will encounter the same issues of low clearance and rubbing the LPG tank on the ground over speed bumps and rocky roads.
This van is ready for new adventures and comes with just about everything you would need to take off on a road trip or camp off grid.
