One of the most unique kit cars ever made, based on VW Beetle/Bug BUT not using the floor pan. The main chassis is an all fiberglass monocoque with the seats built in as part of the structure and is very strong but extremely light weight.
The Bug beam bolts into the monocoque at the front and at the rear a steel tube sub frame holds a Bug swing axle transmission/gearbox upside down bolted to the monocoque with the motor hanging inside in a mid-engine configuration. The fenders/wings bolt on and off and the removable targa hard top includes the windshield rear window with lifting roof panels and hinged perspex side windows.
Originally developed in Australia by Peter Pellandine ( see Wikipedia below) and then in the UK with the help of his son Paul.

They were sold in England in the late 1970's / early 80's as "The Pelland Sports" and the "Ryder Rembrandt", then modified in a Mk 2 version as the "Listair" and lastly as the "Dash".
The photos show my original car in Yellow without the wings/fenders or the hard top, then as the complete finished car after I sprayed it red. These photos as far as I know, are the only ones on the Internet.....if you can find any more , PLEASE let me know !
I will buy complete cars , parts , magazine articles , photos , literature ..... just about anything anyone might have or know about these wonderful vehicles ....!
I have 3 of these kits ( including the one in the photos, now metallic blue ?) but am always looking for more information to fill in the Lost History.
If anyone would like know more about them, please feel free to get in touch by e-mail or phone
