Genuine German Volkswagen: NewOldStock NOS: One (1) set of Two (2) sill panel /running board covers Left and Right. Consisting of One (1) Part Number 111 821 531 A Color Code 620 Savanna Beige Left running board cover and One (1) Part Number 111 821 532 A Color Code 620 Right running board cover. Applicable for vehicle colors Lotos White and Savanna Beige beginning with model year 1967 (August 1966) and running through 1968 (July 1968). Two years only!! For Sedans only, Convertible is Black color code 041. Beginning in 1969 the various and beautiful color keyed colored running boards are relegated to the past. If your Savanna Beige or Lotos White Sedan has a quality restoration and paint, but is burdened with Black or some other color running board covers (and fender beading) it is not as from the Factory, and is in fact incorrect for the purist! These covers Are very nice, glossy, supple and pliable-as with most colored running board covers some Very minor issues. Right side, has a Surface scratch (surface, not through cover) outer Right 11 inches approximately from rear end of piece, and the slightest hint of a dimple in fifth rib from left approximately 27 inches from rear. Dimple is quite hard to see, most likely not visible when mounted/installed!! The scratch will be, for the most part, below the running board molding when installed, the dimple is almost invisible when stretched out for mounting! The Left side has two minor dimples on outside approximately 18 inches from aft end-not visible to camera, stain on bottom side where was taped the Part Number-stain is only on surface, not through plastic!! Genuine German colored covers are quite rare these days, not making NOS versions anywhere-that’s all passed now. These running board covers, beginning at the Big (front) end have 24 ribs horizontally ending with 13 at the Aft or bitter end! Do not think this color has been reproduced!! Some quirks and general information on running covers gleaned through many years around VW’s. The Part Numbers, sometimes is embossed on the inboard side approximately 8 inches from aft end, others have evidence of the embossed part number on the bottom side, where it did not show all the way through to the topside.. Rarely Rarely, will the Color name be embossed, only Very few have that addition! Some covers have Black Inboard bottom side portions, some do not have Black! Some may or may not be somewhat shiny or glossier than others, depending perhaps on dates of manufacturer and changes in manufacturing process? Some have Stains or Spots that penetrate through the vinyl covers!! This set has one Part Number on topside, and the other part number is just visible on bottom side as it did not press all way through. This set has Black inboard coloring on Both covers, this set does not have the Color name embossed on either cover, this set may or may not reflect slightest shade of glossiness. Finally, this set does not have Stains or Spots through the vinyl!! A Beautiful set of Covers! Dealership Part number image is for illustration purposes and not included.
