1965 Kombi (Pending-Chris in Cali)   Price: $16K
Up for sale is my 1965 Kombi. This bus is good driver. It's currently running a pretty fresh 1600dp with less than 5k miles on it. The roof and drip rail is all solid with just surface rust. A full-width Westy bed from a '74 is installed. The front seats are redone with WW padding and covers. This bus is a non-walkthru with the original uncut bulkhead. All tags match, and clear title in my name. I've replaced all the floors(front and cargo), inner and outer rockers, outriggers, front crossmember, tophats, dr. dogleg, inner nose, and lower half outer nose with panels from WW. All new bus harness from Rebel Wire that uses modern fuses, and converted to 12v with alternator. New gas tank, sending unit and gauge (all from WW). All new master cyl., wheel cyl., shoes, hardware, parking brake cables, lines, and hoses. New tie rods, drag link, and center pin and bushing. Shifter bushings, and coupler have been replaced. The front bumper is a Bice bumper, the rear is an early bay blade on split brackets with overiders added. Bus currently has 15" bus wheels with Power King bias ply tires, but if you'd rather I have a set of bus 14" wheels with radials that I can swap out.

Engine: 1600dp, mostly stock rebuild with exception of Engle w100 cam. Doghouse oil cooler,
Empi 32/36 progressive, Bosch cast iron mechanical advance dist., header with
single quietpack muffler.

Transmission: Stock '67 12v big nut in good working order other than a small leak around the

Included with the sale will be the original, matching #'s short block, and another '65 wiper assembly(untested).

This old Kombi is a little rough around the edges, but solid where it counts. It's a good driver that can be enjoyed as-is, or with some further rust repair and cosmetics could be made nice.

If interested the best way to reach me is by phone at (304)273-9124.

Roof rack not included in sale. Thanks for looking.
