1973 Porsche 914 Price: 7700.00
The vehicle has original engine and transmission. The engine turns over, but started leaking fuel at the
pin/plunger on rear of the carburetor, so I did not continue trying to start. With exception of carb leak
and some routine maintenance/parts, the engine and transmission should be in good/running condition.
The engine is a 1.7L with engine serial number 076665 stamped on it. Chassis is 4732915480.
Odometer reads 01804, so 101,804 miles on vehicle.
Interior is in good condition, with exception of driver seat having a small tear on the right side and dash
having a minor split and another crack/blemish next to instrument cluster.
Floor pans are solid on both sides.
Undercarriage was treated with undercoating early in its day, so has largely been spared of rust.
Rocker panels do have a little rust starting and should be replaced.
(Note: Included picture not really good. There was no rust evident on undercarriage when inspected, but the undercoating is flaking off and makes the undercarriage look bad in the picture. Close inspection
welcomed and expected by any interested buyer).
Right side does have rust at the infamous “hell hole” location and this area would need to be repaired.
Again, closer inspection by someone more knowledgeable about this issue is welcomed and expected.
A few spots of surface rust are starting inside the front trunk under the spare tire and right inside the
rear trunk near the latch. Otherwise, everything in solid/good condition.
Original color was blue, but color was changed to black at some point early in the cars lifetime.
Fenders/hoods are in good condition and door/panel alignments good. Targa top in good condition.
Rubber gaskets for top and windows should be replaced.
Exterior has usual/expected amount of scratches and dings, but overall structural in good condition.
With a little body work needed at a few spots and paint refreshed, this Porsche 914 is in the right
condition for someone to make the car truly special again.
