1975 Westfalia w/ Newly Rebuilt Motor & A/C   Price: 40,000.00
1975 VW Westfalia Camper Bus | Type II - Bay Window | 1800 cc original motor (newly rebuilt top and bottom end) | Fuel Injected | Serious Inquiries Only Please (ain't nobody got time for flakiness these days :)

I've had this bus for 2 years now and have had some wonderful times in it, but it's time to move on and allow somebody else to enjoy. I recently had the motor built with some very reputable, old school VW guys down in San Antonio that have been working on VW's for 50+ years. I spent about $8K on the motor after breaking that darn oil filter down bolt off with my torque wrench (yes, I follow the instructions in "the gospel"). I also put $3K in audio in the bus, which includes a Pioneer fold out screen w/ Apple Car Play, Kenwood premium speakers, Kenwood Amp, and a JBL 8" subwoofer under the back seat. I put about $900 in to new brakes, it has a new airflow meter, new distributor, new plugs, new plug wires, new Bosch ignition coil, and a few other bits and pieces.

The motor was bored over a smidge to keep it cool on longer trips and hot summers. It's a great bus, has very little rust and is just a true joy to drive. The previous owner had it pained, and I would say that it's not a showroom quality paint job... There's a little bit of orange peel here and there, but the body is clean, floor pans are good and the tires are in good shape. There's also new canvas on the pop up and I had the water pump to the sink replaced, so it's in working condition.

Furthermore, I had an ARB Awning installed with the add-room screened in porch add-on. The interior is in good shape and gorgeous green and blue plaid. The previous owner installed aftermarket air-conditioning in it that blows cold.

My understanding is this bus was first sold in Alaska and made it's way to Kansas for many years, then Dallas, then Central Texas where I bought it. It is a German bus. That's about all I guess! Text is best.
