1957 Panel Bus, OG Paint, Logos, Driver!   Price: $27,500
1957 Panel Bus, Original Dove Blue Paint, Logos!

Here is a very cool and patinaed pressed bumper Panel Bus that was originally used by a greyhound dog racing organization back in the day and some of the faded logos are still present today.

Some of the many features to note include:

*Mostly Original L31 Dove Blue Paint, still thick enough to polish and shine!

*Awesome Sun Fade and Natural Patina

*Great-running 1679cc Big Bore Engine with Dual Carbs and approximately 100 horsepower (loaded with quality Gene Berg parts!)

*Correct Original Cab Doors, Flat Cargo Doors, Pressed Front Bumper, Flat Decklid, and early K3235 Taillights (cracked lens)

*5 Original Crow's Foot 15 Inch Bus Wheels

*Original Panel Bus Cab Divider

*Correct Flat Backrest Front Seat

*Original Front Floor Mat

*Original Front Beam and Split Case Transaxle (trans does leak a bit)

*All Original and Matching Logo Glass aside from windshields which were replaced along the way

This Bus has been a proven road warrior for most of the last approximately 14 years since it was put back on the road back in 2008. It has attended many shows all over California, Arizona, and Nevada so some of you who have been around during that time may well remember seeing it or even caravanned with it to and from events.

The body is fairly impressive overall for being unrestored and mostly original paint, too. All of the sheet metal parts are correct as mentioned. The crankstart apron is a super nice newer one from Autocraft which was painted to match. The very bottom of the driver's rear corner was replaced and blended after it was bonked years ago. The lower body has some normal issues and will need attention including rockers, cargo floor, some of the outriggers and jackpoints, etc. Overall the frame rails are super clean and solid, no swelling or funk going on, just localized spots that most Buses rust that have been cut out and need attention. Keep in mind, the Bus has been driven just as it is for years, and depending upon your intentions, it could continue to be left alone or taken to a higher level over time. Your choice! I have several videos that show it very well and can share those via text message, Instagram messenger, or WhatsApp with seriously interested buyers.

The interior is very basic, being a Panel Bus, and there's a lot of originality to it overall. Beautiful original paint dash, correct flat backrest front bench seat which was recovered years ago, original early front floor mat, lots of original grey paint inside the cargo area, original bulkhead wall, etc. The owner had a correct 70mph clear needle speedometer restored for it by Corona Ryan at Orange Empire Speedometer years ago and will include it in the sale as well.

Mechanically the Bus is a nice driver with the 1679cc big bore dual carbed engine being a highlight.

The list of nice quality parts on it includes:

*Gene Berg AS21 Case, standard/standard

*DPR Counterweighted 69mm Crankshaft, 8 Dowelled

*Berg 88mm Thick Wall Pistons and Cylinders

*Berg Rods

*Engle 100 Cam with Berg Straight Cut Cam Gears (sounds awesome!)

*Mofoco 042 Big Valve Heads, Port Matched To Intake Manifolds

*Berg POTL Rockers and Swivel Feet Adjusters

*Dellorto Dual 36mm Carburetors, CB Performance Linkage and Air Filter Kit

*And much much more, all quality and name brand parts!

The Bus is turnkey, runs nicely, sounds great, and I can also text videos of it to those with serious interest, too. The transaxle is the original split case and leaks as most that aren't freshly rebuilt do! Additionally the Bus was converted to 12 volts and everything works with exception to the wipers, blinkers, and license light. I have several running, idling, revving, and driving videos to share as well.

Overall this is a cool early Bus with a killer genuine patina, several neat bits of originality still intact, a remarkably straight body, and a nice bonus of a well-designed engine that has taken it on may long-distance adventures over the years.

It can continue to be enjoyed as it is or improved upon as suits your desire in the future. An excellent and worthwhile example to take to the next level.

A great value for what it offers at $27,500 Thanks!

Please note that this 1957 is located in Las Vegas, Nevada.
