It was pointed put to me today that I have the only factory standard 11 window sunroof for sale in America.
It's a rare bus.
1965 vw factory sunroof bus.
Original factory sunroof.
Original factory belly pans.
Original Engine.
Original Transmission.
Original front end.
Original bumpers.
Original windows,
Original steering wheel and horn button that came on all standards.
Original rims.
Original comfortable suspension that you can go off roading if you want.
Original color and mostly original paint. only part of the blue has been repainted.
You get the idea................ ................... Rare and original.
No rust. Drives amazing.
Very rare 1965 special order sunroof bus....
I am the second owner.
Original owner ordered a standard micro bus with a sunroof. He flew to Germany with his wife, picked up the bus, and toured Germany in it. Then shipped it home to California where the bus has been ever since.
Up until I bought it almost 4 years ago the bus had been a regular sight in Oakland California.
Bus is extremely original with most of it's original paint still intact. The blue on the passenger has been re-shot .
Original engine and transmission have both been rebuilt.
Bus is extremely dependable , cruises down the freeway all day long and is a pleasure to drive.
Original headliner and ragtop.
Front seats have been re-upholstered with correct material to match all the original panels.
Great to camp in with the bed down to sleep in and the sunroof open to watch the stars.
This bus has bumps and bruises from the last 57 years but is in amazing usable condition with virtually no rust.
It has been stored inside its whole life and is a amazing rare survivor car.

YES , it is a ORIGINAL sun roof bus with the factory Belly pans. Standards with sunroofs are extremely rare. ( much more rare than a 21 or 23 window deluxe )
Look close at the factory belly pans and the id plate that shows that it was a German bus with no delivery destination (owner pick up) ordered with the sunroof.
