71 Ghia Vert Price: $12000
Strong Runner. 4 speed Freeway Flyer shifts cleanly. Always garaged. Clean interior. Some body issues.
I've reduced the price and am open to reasonable offers. Not desperate to sell, but would be a shame for it to sit in my garage through another summer. Runs and drives great, but I'm not able to enjoy it.
Dual Weber 44 IDF carb kit.
Electric fuel pump and 3/8Ē fuel line upgrade.
Vintage Speed 38mm SS exhaust with a satisfying, throaty sound.
Recently replaced master cylinder and all brake lines.
Ball joints and front end re-built < 1000 miles ago (by PO).
New Air Shocks.
Floor pans are solid.
Interior is very good.
Some past owner did a body-off restoration - poorly. Body put back with incorrect bushings behind back seat. The areas immediately forward of these mount points are rusted through. The rest of the pan is solid so I suspect that improper/too thin bushings caused body-to-frame rubbing and exposed bare metal, inviting rust. I donít have the room -or skills- to remove the body and weld in donor metal. But thatís what it needs.
Heater cores/running boards are crispy, as evidenced in photos. Heat exchanger bypassed when PO installed Vintage Speed exhaust.
I had to cut out filler/patches over axle ports in order to reindex trailing arms and gain back some body clearance, which allows the car to be driven without tire rub (along with air shocks).
Vinyl top offers protection in the short term but needs replacement. Rear glass is good. Star in windshield.
Drive and enjoy this vert immediately, this summer. The body work can wait a for winter.
Clean title. mileage unknown.
