Ready to go with only the fun stuff left to do! Rebuilt engine less than 3k miles on it. Interior done, just headliner to install/soundproofing (comes with car). Was a CA car then an Oregon car in storage for years. Body is solid heat channels even work! Minor cosmetics on exterior & paint job left to finish. Tons of $$$ & love put into this car. But, sadly life priorities have shifted & she needs someone else to finish the job.
Engine compression test just done with mechanic :
1 132psi 2 140psi 3 135psi 4 140psi
Under pans solid, frame solid, 2 small dents on body easily smoothed when time to paint
small patch of surface rust at bonnet logo estimate from body shop $1500 to fix & finish paint.
Not a parts car! Totally drive able & purrs. Only things I had on the list left to do were new breaks, plenty of time on these left & treating the gas tank as I am pretty sure it's original.
Really want this one to go to someone who will finish restoring her to her former glory, nearly there...
I am wickedly busy traveling so will respond only to serious inquiries, sorry no VW Banter. She is my 4th Vintage VW & my favorite...
