This 1968 westfalia bus has been parked for over 14 years. So many build ideas have passed that never got off the ground. I have changed direction and have it ready for the next buyer so you make it his or her own. Recent mechanical upgrades include new solex carburetor, upgraded the alternator, new front & rear drum brakes, all front & rear wheel bearings, new master cylinder, brake signal switches. All recent repairs are documented and folder will go with the bus. This is a good foundation for a great build. 1st 'turn of the key' start-up & shifts nicely too. Every part removed has been boxed & saved. Light surface rust is present w 3 areas requiring metal work. 1. Drip rail about 3' in length, 2. Driver side floor, 3.Passenger floor board. The floor board areas(12"inx14")in were repaired w bondo and can be seen from the bottom. Bondo repairs look good but know metal work is best for the purist. On the roof, a new canvas top has been installed 'as pictured' and recently installed new hinges w springs. These original parts were kept too. Personally would like to continue with more changes but again that's the fun & intrigue of a VW build. Another detail, the bus has new plates, a current title & registration. The original black & yellow plates were saved and boxed with new exhaust system & new heater boxes, which will go with the sale of the bus. Text or call with any questions or requests. Thanks
