|
For enthusiasts only: Barndoor 1952 Microbus for sale.
Perhaps one of the oldest VW buses driving in Benelux.
Originally delivered in Finland. Bought in 2002 by Dutch VW enthusiasts from the Finnish owner.
Bus is called 'Panu' after its last Finnish owner.
Panu was known in the Netherlands as AL-62-81 and appeared in a well-known TV series and in various air-cooled magazines.
10 years later the bus went on a journey through Europe, first Spain and then Sweden. The Barndoor is known from the Barndoor Division and from all the biggest meetings in Europe. (Photos from Hessisch Oldendorf 2013)
I bought Panu about 5 years ago, I had the gearbox overhauled and a new powerful engine built by Steve (Flat4to6) to the highest standard, and equipped with a mighty "Carrera style" Vintage speed exhaust.
Drives and steers smoothly through Creative Engineering Steering
Currently lowered and equipped with disc brakes and on Gas burners.
Original 16” wheels are included.
The paint has been partially renovated, the rest shows rust and requires attention.
