Rare Devin VW Special project Price: 10000 OBO

I hate to do this as this Devin is an easy project that I might actually finish.
It was built on a may of 1952 split window beetle chassis that was heavily modified. The frame head was removed and the beam welded to the tunnel and Napoleon hat. The shifter was then moved back to where the e-brake originally was, the e-brake was moved back to where the shift couple originally was and in the process it’s ‘52 Vin was lost.
The car currently does not run but has the typical type 3 motor in it that most vw based Devins I’ve seen have. I’d assume this motor is bad but haven’t checked anything.

-split chassis (albeit hacked up)
-split front beam
-original vintage cruiser pedal
-Porsche 356 brakes
-bus bumperettes
-55-57 euro bus tail lights
-58-61 bus tails
There could be more that I’m looking over. At one point a previous owner had speedster seats and 16” Pre-A wheels equipped on it as well but they were gone before I got it. The car now has 356 style wheels. The photo with the BRMs was just a set I had laying around and wanted to see what it looks like.
Yes this is a project that will require some serious work but it’s so period correct I hate to part it out. One piece that is missing is the rear engine cover. It flew off as we left Austin Tx to move out here and was instantly crushed on the I-10. Kevin from Devin still makes them though and they are easily sourced. Also included with the sale are a pair of speedster style seats.
To be honest, I’m not even sure where to price it so I’ll start at $14k and willing to entertain offers. The car will be sold with a bill of sale. I was sold it on a Texas bill of sale and will provide that document as well.
Im not looking for a trade as I’m using the funds from this towards another ‘67 convertible.
-Lastly, I’ll note that the car needs to be buffed out again. I bought it oxidized. Buffed it out and had it looking nice, then moved back to California and it looks oxidized again as I didn't have storage for a few months. If I get the chance I’ll definitely polish it and wax it and update photos.
