1984 VW Jetta 2 door non AC with factory POWER STEERING. Motor is newly rebuilt and the car runs and drives. Yes it needs a few things to be road trip ready...That said, personally I would consider driving it home a short distance.
This car is 100% no BS totally rust free, and frankly the cleanest one I have ever seen underneath. Very original. Interior is in great condition. I have rebuilt the seat backs with original VW bolsters and springs. Anything you see missing in the pictures is included for the exception of 3 things. A drivers door handle and 1 piece of trim. Dash has zero cracks and the interior feels very well kept and solid. I was still looking for a clean grill.
I rebuilt the motor. I build diesels and restore cars for a living. New rings and seals all around. Bore was still well within factory spec. New clutch and motor mounts. All that said it's not a brand new car under the hood. Plenty of things were reused and I can't speak to the reliability of the alternator or radiator for example...But like I said I would drive it as is. The battery has a hard time holding a charge because it is oldish.
Lastly I will only consider offers over the phone or in person. I will add that I am traveling with an empty car trailer on Sept. 23 from Denver to Albuquerque and willing to deliver the car FOR FREE to the right person so long as it is paid for before I leave and it's not to far off of highway 25.
