This is a project I have been working on for years and am proud to introduce these to the Vanagon Community.
These are designed to work with manual crank window or power windows.
These are Die cut Vapor barriers that fit on the door between the panel and inside door skin. They have a plastic formed speaker pocket that is heat sealed to the barrier. It also has the Window winder hole precut as well as the inside door release all pre cut. The door panel clip holes are all pre punched and line up perfectly.
This is not some cheap garden variety plastic from the Home club. This is a UV resistant and tear proof PVC. The main sheet is .15M and the Pocket is .3m. This is the same material used in those transparent purses that are all the rage now. This stuff is tough. I looked at a lot of different materials before deciding on this product.
Included in the kit are :
Left Barrier
Right Barrier
2 smaller pieces to cover the lower "speaker" hole (one for each side)
Roll of super sticky Butyl tape.
Installation is straight forward, but don't be in a rush. The butyl is forgiving and you have plenty if you make a mistake.
I've designed these to be used in conjunction with my Wiring pockets which are available as well through me or Go Westy.
If your door panels are warped or wet this is te answer. Most vans I work on either don't have these or they are destroyed. These fit like a glove and am happy to answer any questions while you are installing them.
These are a way better quality then the long obsolete barriers from Volkswagen.
