1963 VW Sunroof heavily modified 914 1800   Price: 15000
Chassis: 63 original but with ball joint and rear trailing arm mods. Lowered by PO. Front brakes are Mazda RX7 vented rotors and dual piston calipers. Rears discs are Empi I think. Monster swat bars front and rear. Wilwood hanging Master Cylinder and pedal assembly. Hydraulic clutch. Mazda/Ford bolt pattern on wheels. Tires are 205/50-17. Also included is a custom set of rear brake components, Wilwood calipers Maxda vented Rotors. Sachetti/Lummis rear hubs on Mazda pattern. (not installed)

Engine; It's a 914 originally built for a track car. The heads are cut for compression, Scat C35 cam. 1800cc I think. 40mm Webers, CB distributor and Black Box. Raby DTM cooling, A1 headers, solid rocker shafts. It was apart about 6 years ago and got new bearings, cam, lifters, oil pump, rings.

Body: Rust free original California car, sold new in Glendale. when I got it it had had a fuel fire in the engine compartment on the original 40hp engine. Amongst other thinks I refinished the burn area. Front fenders are 2" wider to fit the Mazda brake components. I added matching fenders to the rear. The car was originally a sedan. Brian Washburn did a great job on a top-swap with a ragtop top. Paint is driveway rattle-can. Interior paint is original. My website logo on the door was hand-painted by Tim Laventry. If you like it you could leave it or it will come off with a light wet-sand with 600.

I was kinda paranoid about overheating so I went a little crazy with gauges. You can see in the photos. It generally holds to about 180-200 oil temp. CHT is 200-250 typical.

Interior. Recaro seats from an late 60's-early 70's 911 or 2002ti, I can't be sure. They have been recovered in leather quite a while ago. Rear seat is included but not installed. I kinda like the rear-seat-delete.

This car is not finished. I have a list of small on-going projects but my will to complete the car has left me. I have spares and take-off parts that will be included if you want them.

I have included a bunch of photos here, but I am working on adding more over on my website. Here is the link: https://vintagefilmchannel.com/63-ragtop/
