71 VW Drag Ghia 2276cc 51.5 IDA Price: $13,495
|
Please read this 1st, this isn't a fire sale so lets be respectful of each others time. I won't respond to unreasonable offers and am happy to keep the car and run it this summer. I'm not selling the car because I need the money.
BAT auction was a bust, reserve not met so its back on the Samba for $14,250. Good videos, pics, and info on the BAT listing though.

Race ready, take it to the track tomorrow. It's been out twice, 2 passes the 1st time with best of 12.80, 5 passes the 2nd time into the quarterfinals with best of 12.50, switched to 51.5 IDA/EPCs after that haven't ran it since then. Will run low 12s with some tuning. Engine and tranny built by Don Mehling of Car Custom in the 80s/90s. The car had been stored inside in dry eastern Washington for 10+ yrs when I bought it in 2022, was in So Cal prior to that. A 45+ yr factory VW mechanic who has been drag/circle track racing for 35+ yrs went through the car from nose to tail and redid everything (engine, wiring, roll cage, interior, suspension). A few of the pics are when I 1st got the car. Clear title in my name and car can still be a hot street/strip car if you want.
Price is cash, Zelle, paypal friends/family, or wire transfer. Happy to help with shipping or may consider delivering it within a few hundred miles or more after purchase through Bring a Trailer
