The engine ( original) needs an overhaul. Locally, that costs about $2,500. The price of the car has been reduced to cover that.
Beautiful Blue Bug. Not a show car but a handsome, stock, daily driver. Approximately 101111 miles. Clean Kansas title. 1500cc 1.2L engine. Peashooter exhaust pipes. Oil bath air cleaner. VW stamped hub caps and chrome wheel rings. New NEXEN S 802 165/80R-15 tires. These new additions and replacements: gray loop carpeting throughout; gray tweed door and side panels; headliner; steering wheel; horn; fuel pump; battery; running boards; black basket weave vinyl seat coverings. Prior owner repainted body with original VW Blue L633 and painted over the fender beads. Small rust spot on frame head. One cylinder needs work. Slight oil leak. Rear bumpers replaced by prior owner. Some bubbling chrome on front bumper. Door-open light, windshield washer/wiper and emergency flasher inoperable, but have new parts for same. Sold with: 4 studded snow tires, 2 spare tires, new lift jack, tool roll, rubber front floor mats, Bentley repair manual, original owner’s manual, numerous new spare parts and all weather cover. I’d keep it forever if had the space. I am the second owner who bought it in 2022.
