Early original Meyers Manx! This is a pre tag Manx originally built in late 1966, comes with authentication certificate from Winnie Meyers. Has original date code windshield marked M-1. This early Manx was special ordered with the optional Corvair "spats" in the engine compartment to allow the installation a corvair engine.
This Manx has just undergone a thorough service and preservation. The goal was to keep it as original as possible. built upon a 1959 chassis, new floor pans have been added and the original round reinforcement tubes retained. The transmission is a later syncro trans that has been freshly rebuilt, powder coated axle tubes, new boots, new clutch cables, brake lines, hoses, wheel cylinders, new shocks, master, brake shoes, cables, hardware etc. The rear wheels are original Meyers Manx 15x8 wrapped in the legendary Gates Commando tires, fronts are the Davis (Gates Commando) 15x5.5. Chrome smooth Porsche type hub caps. orig Manx front bumper with Meyers Manx license plates. California black-yellow plates will come with car for display purpose.
The goal was to preserve and retain this beautiful Manx in its orig glory. The Yuma Yellow gel coat is in original condition and looks amazing showing only minor imperfections and crack in lower hood. Orig ABS dash is in beautiful shape with no cracks. Durrant sport mirrors, Dietz 9-82 headlights with Cibie lights.
Comes with a period fiberglass floral hard top. bucket front seats tilt for access. New custom black and yellow coco mats, superior steering wheel and shifter complete the interior.
Engine is a powerful 1835cc T1 with new 39 mm carb, Bosch 019 cast iron dist, powder coated engine tins, new generator, regulator, rebuilt Peirburg fuel pump, Santana pulley, Vintage Cal Custom valve covers, period header and exhaust in white.
