All original 1964 Karmann Ghia 4-speed coupe. Fantastic original Pacific Blue with original interior. This time capsule has only 61K original miles and came from a 1-owner family in California. This rust-free car is mechanically excellent and is a numbers matching classic. The frame and body numbers match and the car has the original 40hp 1200cc motor that it left the factory with, as well as the original transaxle. Recent work includes: new Bosch plugs, German plug wires, rebuilt original Bosch distributor, rebuilt original Solex 28-pict 1 carburetor, rebuilt original Pierburg dome-top fuel pump, rebuilt original Bosch generator, new fuel tank, new fuel lines, new brakes, rebuilt steering components, full tune-up with valve adjustments and all fluids changed. 4 Winston 165 R15 tires with less than 500 miles. Original 6 volt charging system works perfectly and the car starts quicker than any classic VW I've ever seen. Compression is 125lbs on all four cylinders. The engine runs very strong and will drive anywhere. The car has never been in an accident and the body is rust free. Was repainted the original correct color Pacific Blue some years ago, and won a BEST IN SHOW trophy at the 2025 V-Dub Derby. The transmission shifts smooth in all 4 gears and it will cruise all day long at 70mph. Excellent gas mileage. Also included with the Karmann Ghia is the original factory tool kit, owners manual, jack, and spare tire.
