Selling as-is as it is not currently running.
This is a great opportunity for someone able to put in some time and/or money and at this price point, there is pretty of runway to make it the bus of your dreams. Due to my current living situation, I am unable to work on the vehicle at home and after the driver's door decided not to close after a recent cleaning, I decided it was time to let it go to someone in a better position to care for it. I'm unsure what the underlying issue is, but I can describe the symptoms. On the way home from my last camping trip, the bus stopped responding when I pressed the accelerator. While parked at the house, there was a distinct smell of gasoline so my best guess is there is a fuel leak somewhere.
Now for the good! The bus is a '79 which means it is the last year for the Type 2 body style. Along with the '78, it's also one of two years where the Type 2 featured a fuel injection system, giving it a little more pep than its brothers and sisters with a carburetor. The interior is in great shape, including the tent which I replaced just a few years ago.
