This is how to properly silicon your drain plate. It seems obvious, but I have made the mistake of just making a circle and ignoring the holes. Want to save someone the weeping i went through. The green is the silicon, I like the black instant gasket stuff, cant think of who makes it right now.
:Edit: permatex makes it, super black i belive is the name. good stuff.

Between the two of there are 9 VW's (running or not) and right now finishing up are latest projects a 1967 Splitty that has a 36 wheel base. My brother is finishing up his 55 Speedster.
