After spending 2 hours at the DMV explaining to them how to register '56 Base Plates for my '62, I finally got them approved. Nice example of 100% Original 56-Base plates on a 62 Notch. I wonder if anyone else has ever registered these type of plates on a 62 Notch in the state of California. I would like to publicly thank Craig (licensepl8s), local Samba-lite, for helping me accomplish this. He's definately the "MAN" for License Plates! Kudos!

I've just added some cool accessories (Thanks Charlie and ISP) and some NOS Parts (About 50 items), and cleaned her up a bit. Mud-Flaps are a little crooked, but have been fixed since.

For the '65 Notch. 15 X 6 deep sixes on the right and 16 X 6s on the left. Larger wheels go out back. Articstic Plating in Anaheim did the plating.

got in 20 sq ft of second skin to do the pan with,should have a little bit left to do nooks and tight spots on the body when it comes home in a couple.hopefully 20 more feet will finish it out.

took the past 2 sundays off from working on it but it's time to kick it back in gear :)

it's okay I have the OG motor stored away(most of it anyway)and most of the NOS bits located to build it so it won't take much to put her back :)

I get a chubby seeing my panels in primer finally! i'll be eating ramen noodles for the next couple of months since the shop will be getting all my money the next few weeks but it will be worth having my car painted and home after being away and neglected for 5 years.

getting closer to assembly finally.5 years in the making.
panels are set for final sanding before color.light was bad in the side room so the pic came out fuzzy.

need to find about $250 laying around to get my new paint mixed so we don't stall too long again.

all the panels except for the hood and decklid have been worked where needed/primed/blocked/primed/blocked and primed again.

the hood and decklid get done next week along w/the body,while I do the chassis swap and then it's a matter of getting new paint mixed now that I have the "new" code to go by.
