After media/sand blasting...DP90 primer applied. In the lower right corner you can just see what it will look like. Early ghia just painted, color sanded, buffed...

Trans raised 1" with custom made aluminum bushings to make the rear sub frame solid to the pan. If I want to go back to stock just put back the rubber mounts. SAW type 1 heavy duty spring plates with 28 mm torsion bars and short axels.

New tranny is in. KCR built: 3.88 r/p, Super Diff, HD side plate, welded 3/4 gears, steel shift forks, shortened Type 1 axles/tubes, Berg axle plate re-enforcements. It should have no problem handling the 2110 cc powerplant!

Decided to do it right...right down to bare metal, inside and out. Just returned from media/sand blasting. Was flat black (DP40) later that same night thanks to Derek's hard work.

The fenders, doors, decklid etc. being straightened & gaps fitted. The rear passenger fender fell off in my garage! "Son-of-a-%*#@!" This forced Derek, my body/paint guru, to do a little "massaging" to straighten it. S**t happens I guess!
