Original as it left the factory. The rear mat looks dark brown, not anthricite or black. The seat material incorperates brown as well.

I just picked up this well crafted rear chop in Miss, was originally from Tenn, I like just about everything about it, but I may have to go old school with the wheels, I have a set of Ansen wide mags with wide oval tires...What do you think?

Well this has been a learning process. I assumed I could make some minor adjustments and fit the EMPI 5 Spokes under here. Wrong... In fact, I had to go to 5" BRM's and 145's rear just to tuck under the wheel well.
Pleased with the result and final stance. Body and Paint next. I'll keep you posted.

This is my 69 square, I got it from a good friend here in northern Nevada. Although He had done a lot to it, there is still alot to do. It came with Dual 34s'and a standard trans. I am not a lover of STOCK so this project is going to have lots of flash, be low and fast.

I just baught these two sqaures(68-69)and enough parts for ten more cars from an elderly gentleman who had them stuffed in his shed since the eighties.MANY NOS parts.I will be going through the boxes and probably letting alot of multiples go.

Here's where she sat... P.O. on the left... This picture was taken by my friend waiting for me to show up to buy the car... 1/2 an hour late thanks to bad communication! Oops, sorry Doug! Anyways, here's my first VW. 1967 square. Don't know the history other than it sat in the high desert for a long time before having a new engine installed and being brought down to San Diego by the PO, a navy man. Been sitting in this parking lot, apparently since '96 (though I suspect it's moved a few times). Starts up and runs like a champ! Just have to give it a little nudge... or park on a hill! Need to figure out the ignition switch/starter. :) It's unbelievable how cheaply I bought this car for... I can barely believe it myself. (big grin)

Got lost on the way to familienfest and had to stop and ask for directions... here I am with my square at the Mission de San Luis Rey. The woman working in the gift shop was really nice and seemed sad that she couldn't get over to the show. She was really sentimental about squarebacks. Cool :)

Check out the uncracked dash and beautiful paint! Wiring is kind of a mess but not bad! That's a Porsche wheel that had some leather wrapped around it - after coming from the high desert it was so brittle and cracking off i just peeled it all off. maybe I should dye the bare stuff that's left... High density closed cell foam of some kind?
