This is the lock assembly from my 59 single cab treasure chest door. I decided to take on the challange of rekeying it so I only need one key for all my locks. When I opened her up this is what it all looked like. Nice huh!

Cross section of the seal I recently received from Wolfsburg West. Seals seem to be nice quality material and properly contoured internally. Even has WW logo and VW part number cast on the inside. Nice.

For the Split Forum. Notice that the clamp is not a worm drive but a single bolt clamp like the German fuel hose clamps.

Someone decided that a BMW fuse block would be a better choice than a VW fuse block. So they cut the original bracket out, welded in this piece of steel, and then didn't even attach the fuse block to the piece they welded in. What a mess.

Welded in an original fuse block panel to replace the piece of angle steel that had been welded in previously.

What a mess! Multiple splices, wierd relays that don't seem to do anything, just plain ugly.
A new wiring harness will be installed shortly.

a little project I took on with alot of help from EB sending me a shitload of stickers(THANKYOU), I was gonna try to cover it with polyurathain, but I think it will turn yellow, so I may just hang it on the wall when done.
