A couple of the tabs that hold the floormat in my Thing were rusted so I made a couple from some hardware store parts.
The 1/8" coupling is a little smaller diameter then the original.

Suddenly I remembered I had left the damned thing on the heater and looked to discover a 4-5 inch accordion which resembled a miniature squeezebox more than a VW aircooled thermostat! The superheating left some cracks and dimples which renders it useless in my opinion.
Bye bye working thermostat! Duh!
A very stupid mistake and one I won't forget.

Anyone know if this is just the tube bent upward or an adapter that attatched the flex tubes that run from the Y under the rear seat to the plastic box on the tunnel?

This is how I get my hardtop off and store it. I need to get a crank or something because it is still to heavy. Also, I need to get double pulleys for the right side since two ropes are going through a single pulley now.
