from left starter rebuild kit- might be for the "VW" made starter VW # 113 911 320. Oil drain plate magnets for 36hp engines one of only a few true 36 hp VW accessories VW# 111 115 195. heater box to cable clamp in what has to be one of the smallest VW parts boxes VW # SP 117. Also in the pic is an original accelerator clamp for the 28 PCI- it has a screw instead of the much more common later bolt.

for anyone who wanted to see the process of stripping anodized coatings from aluminum products, here are my pics. Use some heavy duty Easy Off oven cleaner, let the parts sit for about 15 mins, and rinse with fresh water. You may have to do this twice. They will turn black depending on the aluminum quality, or they'll stay silver. for all these parts, it took less than an hour from start to finish to clean off the colors. I just don't like the anodized look and the standard red/black stuff.

74/88 1800cc, twin zenith 32ndix carbs with 28 vents, drdL3 heads, 1.25 rockers, cam between a engle 100 ans 110,1 5/8 merged header. 8.2 to 1 run fine on 89gas, 27mpg+

Even the cam bearing saddles are pounded. Notice the VW logos that have been impressed in the case by the back of the cam bearing.
