I have a 1957 VW Beetle, Type 113. This car is completely factory original, and I have owned it for almost 35 years at this point. I purchased it from the original owner in June of 1978.
This part was included with the car, and after all of these years, I still have no idea as to what it is. It may or may not be for this car, or for any VW for that matter.
Can anyone help to identify it for me? It appears to be a strap of some sort.
