Some History on Sealing Wax Red "Siegellackrot"
My Families Coat of Arms "Seal" and the rosin, to make sealing impressions. This is the sealing wax "pine rosin" that has been used by nobility for centuries.
I had 2-1/2 gallons of PPG single stage L53 paint mixed, then adjusted with toner. This is now a good representation of the sealing wax rosin and the original color of paint on my 1961 VW double cab truck.
