| First, I would like to say hello to all my fellow vw owners. I am a long time samba stalker but first timeposting. I have a 1964 beetle with a metal sunroof. The PO was going for a rat rod look and for some reason filled the hole for the license plate hood. The work on the back of the deck lid indicates that it appears that it had the earlier type (pope's nose) however, is there any way of finding out for certain that this the correct decklid for this year? The vin number (according to the samba) says it was built in March of 1964. Any guidance in this area is much appreciated. |
