Step by step photos of me converting my Baja Bug to one piece windows. Guides were made for the front and rear of the glass to provide a nice, rattle-free fit. A detailed story will soon be posted in the body and paint forum.
Late model rear glass guides were used. They needed to be modified to work.
My plan was to have a spring loaded guide that would stay in contact with the edge of the glass at all times as it rolled up and down. After it was installed, the guide did not move smoothly, so it was bolted solid to a bracket I made. |
