Here is the Thing drum and the beetle 4 lug with adapter
Comparison pics of thing, wide 5 type 3, and beetle 4 lug with wide 5 adapter rear drums. All drums were placed on identical spray paint can tops to mimic riding on the inner bearing, rather than just placing them on the ground.
The track of the Thing drum was between 10/16" and 11/16" wider than the type 3 drum.
The track of the Thing drum was 1/2" wider than the beetle drum/adapter.
The track of the beetle drum/adapter was just under 1/4" wider than the type 3 drum. |
