I'm keeping the 40hp that came with the car. Instead of cutting the front and rear tins when the engine was installed, the PO broke the spot welds on the bottom corners of the firewall and hinged/pounded it forward 2 inches. To accomodate the rear tin they cut the weatherstrip channel in half near the latch and hammered the strip back until it cleared the 40hp tin. This made the deck very uneven so fettle, fettle, twist, bend, weld... 1957 lowlight Ghia.
