The extraction tool is a simple steel rod with a bolt in the end. This is an old beam, pretty crusty.
The rod and its cap are set against the inner edge of the bearing. The other end of the rod presents on the other end of the beam and can be bumped with a mallet. As the bearing walks out, the cap is moved around the bearing to avoid getting it too cocked. |
