This month used the vertical ribbed tank. Looks like in a two year period Karmann used: smooth tank->2 horizontal ribs->4 vertical ribs. The small hole is for a Motometer sender. Gotta go, it's slosh o'clock! gas tank, oval, hump June 1957 lowlight Ghia.
