| I had joined the Der Kaefer Fahrer (DKF) club convoy as we all returned from the Michigan Vintage VW Club meet in Auburn Hills, MI held at VW of America's HQ at the time. The tower is just north of the Canada/New York border 20 miles north of the city of Watertown, NY. We had 3 split window Beetles on the trip, an oval, the red/white Hebmueller, a blue Super Beetle, and my Lime Green '77 Beetle. |
