| This is the fan off a 1700 cc Type 4 engine. This is the correct installation arrangement. Note how it has the required spacer between the fan and the fan hub. The bolts do not stick through it far enough to rub against the oil seal. If you leave out the spacer, the bolts will gouge and ruin the oil seal. |
