Vanagon Flywheels Posted: Sun Dec 24, 2017 1:45 pm     Views: 63      Rating: Not rated

This is a pic of three different flywheels I've used with the ALH in my Vanagon.
Left is a LUK DMF, center is a G60 (from a 1990s Passat era), and the OE Diesel Flywheel.

If you will look real close, you can see that I had to add the TDC mark on the DMF & G60 flywheels.

The ALH would slip the clutch in the OE flywheel set-up (220 mm).

The DMF & G60 are 228mm.

I highly recommend the DMF as it is extremely quiet.

I also installed a Pilot Shaft that accepts the TDI clutch disc splines.
