I used a standard butt hinge to make a replacement hinge for my gas pedal. One leaf I left untouched and the other I cut down so it fits up behind the pedal. This setup is much sturdier than the original and most replacement setups.
This repair was done about 10 years back and is still working fine, I just need to put a few drops on oil on the hinge every couple of years. |
