| The specialty magazine put out by Hot Rod about the mid sixties VW craze. on the cover: my dad's original 1967 Thunderbug show car and the Empi "Inch Pincher" The Thunderbug had silver/sky blue pearlescent paint that changed to gold when light hit it - by Bill Carter. The Porsche motor, Cragar mags and all chrome was gold plated. The interior was all dark brown fur with 4 golden tan suede high top bucket seats. The rag top opening of the 64' Bug used was filled with gold tinted plexiglass. |
